About the role

As our Data Scientist Intern, you'll work directly with our Head of Data/AI and Science team to develop ML models and analytics that power our biodiversity platform. This internship is designed as a pathway to a full-time Data Scientist role.

Your mission:

• Develop and train machine learning models for biodiversity impact assessment
• Build NLP pipelines to extract insights from environmental datasets
• Create data visualizations to communicate complex biodiversity metrics
• Collaborate with our science team to translate ecological research into algorithms
• Participate in model evaluation, testing, and deployment processes
• Graduate to increasing autonomy and ownership throughout the internship

What we're looking for:

• Master's student in Data Science, ML, Statistics, or related field (final year or recent graduate)
• Strong foundation in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Solid understanding of statistics and probability
